Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence

TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent

GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb

EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts

Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and will always solve the problems of the human race.”

President Calvin Coolidge
30th president of the U.S (1872-1933)

Reflection: I think what this quote means is that you don’t need talent, education, or genius to be successful. This is saying if you're persistent you can accomplish anything you want.

Example: If you're not good at basketball you're persistent and if you never give up and always keep trying you could be one of the best basketball players.
